Job Summary: The Backup Meals on Wheels Driver delivers meals to homebound seniors and city Senior Centers in the Utah County area.
The position serves as a backup to regular meals on wheels drivers.
Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is $ 17.

Schedule: On-call, temporary position.
Generally, working several times per month, as needed.
The schedule is 8:00 a.
m.
to 2:00 p.
m.
, Monday through Friday.
Reports to: The MOW Program Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver hot meals to Senior Centers and home-bound seniors in Utah County
Assist with loading a delivery vehicle with meals and other items for delivery
Drive a Ford F150 box truck to deliver meals to senior centers, volunteer drop sites, and individual residences on a predetermined route
Maintain records and make reports related to job responsibilities
Keep assigned vehicle clean and report required preventative maintenance needs
Work cooperatively with the meal delivery team and Meals on Wheels office staff

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must work cooperatively with other staff and clients
Must have the ability to locate addresses
Must abide by all laws pertaining to the operation of a delivery vehicle and operate a vehicle in a safe manner at all times
Must consent to monthly reviewing of Utah Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent, and one-year work experience demonstrating job-related skills
Must have a good driving record
