VanCon in Springville is looking for hard workers in search of a long-term driving career! We are looking for CDL class B drivers for one of our Hook trucks, experience with Manual transmission and are wanting to grow in your field we want you! VanCon works year-round and you'll be home every night.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Performs materials handling and storage.
* Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are being followed.
Brings any problems to the attention of the truck manager.
* Perform other job duties as assigned.
* Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
* Collect delivery instructions daily from the Truck Manager, verifying instructions and routes.
* Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
* Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles immediately.
* Must plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
* Work with traffic control to ensure all safety procedures are being followed and not disrupting traffic or causing potential hazard to other vehicles and pedestrians.
* Must be willing to get out of the truck to help on the job site as well when needed/required.
*Qualifications*
* 3 years in a similar position; Hook Truck Experience
* CDL class B
* Drive 18 speed manual transmission
* Must be registered with FMCSA clearinghouse
* Clean MVR
