Accounting Manager

Welch Olsen LLP is a young and growing CPA firm specializing in tax, accounting and payroll for small business owners.
We are a small office (only two partners) and we value flexibility and work/life balance - people who work for us are not allowed to miss important life/family events because of work.

We are looking to add a dynamic team player to our office who can help manage our accounting practice.

An ideal candidate should have a strong background in QuickBooks Online as well as the ability to quickly analyze and improve messy financials.
The position will work extensively with both clients and our internal staff, so strong communication skills, and a pleasant demeanor are a must.
*Job Responsibilities* * Financial statement preparation and review * New client onboarding * Monthly bank reconciliations * Adjusting journal entries * QuickBooks troubleshooting * Communication directly with clients * Training of accounting staff * Review deliveries prepared by staff * Categorization of transactions (limited) * Additional client/management request *Qualifications* * QuickBooks Online proficiency is a MUST * QuickBooks Desktop proficiency is a plus, but not required * At least two years of relevant accounting experience * Strong communication skills * Ability to meet deadlines and stay on task with little oversight *Compensation* Competitive pay with incentive bonuses added - amount depending on experience.
