MX is seeking a Director of Mobile Engineering to lead a team of engineering managers while collaborating with a cross-functional team that includes designers, writers, data scientists, engineers, product marketers, sales, and client relationship managers.
Together, you will build, deliver, and maintain innovative products that align with the MX mission Job Duties Lead the recruitment and management of a high-performance team comprising engineers and engineering managers.
Design, build, launch, and maintain high-quality software products with your team.
Set and communicate team priorities that align with the broader organization's goals, ensuring strategy, processes, and decision-making are consistent across teams.
Establish goals based on individual levels and roles aligned with the broader organization's objectives.
Conduct performance discussions and provide feedback and coaching.
Review code and offer feedback to ensure best practices, including adherence to style guidelines, code accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
Empower, challenge, and coach a team of senior engineers to enhance their impact as individual technical leaders by providing context and continuous feedback.
Cultivate and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across Engineering teams and with customers throughout the engineering process.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing your insights and knowledge to drive innovation within the organization.
Job Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of professional experience, preferred.
5+ years of experience as a mobile software engineer, preferred.
3+ years of experience as an engineering leader, preferred.
Experience replatforming a consumer mobile application.
Experience with native mobile application frameworks (e.
g.
ReactiveNative, Flutter) Knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at active listening.

Ability to coach engineers into shipping high quality, maintainable, and well tested code in a high velocity environment.
Work Environment At MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent and increase impact through collaboration.
Our team members enjoy a balance of remote work and in-office days.
Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees.
Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $191,500 to $229,750.
This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package.
MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
