Welding Inspector

Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Lehi, Utah Key Responsibilities: The Quality Control Inspector must be capable of performing visual inspection, 100% welding inspection, shop production fit up inspection, tolerances per spec and customer requirements, basic knowledge of AWS D1.
1, and/or structural steel fabrication inspection.
Precision Inspection: Verify that fabricated products meet contract specifications and quality standards.
Blueprint Mastery: Interpret blueprints and inspection procedures with precision.
Measuring dimensions of products to met standards: Use various instruments for accurate measurements utilizing instruments such as measuring tape, calipers, gauges, etc.
Documentation: Maintain QC logs and detailed reports.
Proactive Action: Promptly address production issues and quality concerns.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with Welding Procedure standards.
Training Support: Assist in welder and fitting training when needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with production and management teams.
Qualifications: Experience: 1–3 years in structural steel fabrication.
Blueprint Proficiency: Ability to interpret blueprints.
Measurement Skills: Proficiency in using measuring instruments.
Visual Acuity: Pass an internal eye with or without exam for precision work.
Preferred Experience: Previous quality inspection experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.
