*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Professional to join our team for an exciting data center project.
The Safety Professional will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects of the project adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
This individual will collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety excellence.
*Responsibilities:*
* Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies specific to commercial framing and drywall work on data center projects.
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
* Provide safety training to all personnel, including new hires, subcontractors, and existing staff, on topics such as fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), and equipment operation.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
* Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
* Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop site-specific safety plans and risk assessments for each phase of the project.
* Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns, providing guidance and support as needed to promote a safe working environment.
* Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, proactively incorporating updates into company policies and procedures.
* Conduct emergency drills and develop contingency plans to address potential safety threats or crises on the job site.
* Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all project team members, encouraging active participation and continuous improvement.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
* OSHA 30 Certification required.
* Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar professional certification highly desirable.
* Previous experience in construction safety management, particularly in commercial framing and drywall projects, is strongly preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards, with the ability to interpret and apply requirements in a practical manner.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications for safety reporting and documentation.
