Job Description: Quality Assurance Specialist
We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and ensure the delivery of top-quality products and services.
In this role, you will be responsible to provide technical and professional assistance to various functions within the organization to support the achievement of quality, safety, and production goals and provides ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty.
Essential job functions and duties may include, but are not limited to:
Participate in all Quality Management Systems programs, including investigations, CAPAs, non-conformances, and audits.
Coordination of supplier management activities, including audits and qualifications.
Identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve supplier quality issues.
Assist in the development of process monitoring systems to reduce process variation.
Plan, schedule, and perform internal quality/process audits to assess compliance to regulations and the internal Quality Management System.
Work with all functional areas to resolve quality issues and assure compliance with regulations, company standards, and customer requirements.
Write, review, and approve QMS documentation (specifications, SOPs, Work Instructions, etc.
)
Review and approve Master Manufacturing Records, customer finished goods specification, or product labeling.
Disposition and release of in-process and finished goods manufactured.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
Quality Assurance experience with a focus on quality systems in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals.
Strong working knowledge of cGMP in FDA regulated industry.
Fundamental understanding of 21 CFR 111 and its development, documentation, implementation, and improvement with respect to standards and regulations.
Understand problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
Able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles.
Excellent communication, organizational, planning, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group.
Self-starter, motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Experience with EQMS and ERP systems a plus.
