Electrician

Overview: Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Division: Equipment & Facilities Supervisor: Electrical Foreman ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Job Summary: The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
They will work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry as well as company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels.
Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and provide solutions.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
Keep up to date with industry codes and standards and ensure compliance in all work.
Collaborate with other trades professionals, such as HVAC technicians or plumbers, as needed.
Communicate with customers to understand their electrical needs and provide recommendations.
Train, mentor and supervise apprentices or less experienced electricians, as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Work to be performed throughout Juab, Utah, Salt Lake, Davis, and Cache Counties Qualifications: Completion of an apprenticeship program and active Journeyman Electrician certification.
3+ years of experience in commercial and/or residential electrical installation and repair preferred.
Knowledge of electrical systems and codes and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
Familiarity with a variety of electrical tools and equipment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, and driven.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required.
Valid driver's license Working Conditions: Journeyman Electricians work both indoors and outdoors, often in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
The work may require standing, kneeling, or bending for long periods of time.
Journeyman Electricians work full-time and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The work may require travel to different job sites.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Must be able to lift or move at least 60 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
