Position Description: At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Architecture Analyst II to join the Building Control Systems WattStopper Team.
This position is open to remote within the United States reporting to Pleasant Grove, UT.
The Cloud Architecture Analyst II is responsible for developing Cloud software systems: microservices, applications, ORM, database layers, etc.
for use by both internal staff and external customers.
This responsibility includes defining architecture, specifications, system design, software development, draft documentation, testing and release of developed Cloud software apps and services.
This role develops exciting Cloud Services used to commission and control best-in-class residential and commercial building control systems.
This role requires deep experience in Microservice frameworks and in creating native Cloud applications.
The successful candidate may also analyze and design databases and work individually or coordinate software development as part of a team.
They will have deep experience in Microservice frameworks as well as deep experience with creating Cloud Native applications through all phases of the software development lifecycle across Azure as well as common management platforms such as Kubernetes.
What Will You Do? Architect, design, code, analyze cloud systems, apps and microservices.
Write well designed, testable, and efficient code.
Work with product marketing and software development team to create specifications that meet customer use case requirements and support a broad spectrum of home and building automation products.
Includes development of new innovative applications.
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Analysis and maintenance of current cloud applications.
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility and design features within project and time and cost constraints.
Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
Modify existing cloud software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware and third-party equipment, and to improve its performance.
Solve complex home and building automation system application problems through design and development of system software configuration and set-up tools.
Be capable of working with a software and product development teams in a fast paced and innovative technology environment.
Performs other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications: Required Skills BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable area of study.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud systems.
Preferred Skills Five years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud system is preferred.
Experience with Embedded Programming and lighting controls a plus.
Expertise in C++, C#, .
Net, Java, or related language MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
Cloud experience, especially Windows Azure.
Experience creating web services and cloud applications.
Familiar with the Agile development methodology Knowledge of, and experience with object-oriented architecture and design.
Proficiency building unit and integration tests and in data-driven testing.
Proficient programming skills, including familiarity with data types, syntax and control structures.
Demonstrated ability to create functional and technical design specifications for development efforts and debugging complex application problems.
Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
Able to evaluate situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.

Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
Demonstrated ability to understand customers’ needs and identify new ways to serve/satisfy customer.
