Position Overview:
Summit Line is looking for Step Deck Drivers to help support our growing company.
The right candidates would live in the Heber Valley or Salt Lake City.
You would travel during the week and can expect to be home most weekends.
Weekly travel is required - per diem will be provided.
**Estimated compensation of up to $90,000 per year.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities:
Long haul shipping of specialized cargo or ideally for hauling tall equipment and machinery across the nation securely
Loading/Unloading
Tarp Pay when necessary
Daily inspection of vehicle and load
Vehicle washing and perform general maintenance
Maintaining a log of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
What You'll Bring:
Requirements:
Meet all Federal Motor Carrier guidelines
Hold a valid Class A CDL
High school diploma required
At least 6 months open-deck (step-deck, double-drop, or flatbed)
Be at least 23 years old
Pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
Be able to secure and tarp freight in all weather conditions
