Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager will participate in the planning, directing, or coordinating of high-voltage construction and maintenance projects throughout the country.
You will participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, subcontractors, safety, quality, and implementation.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities:
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
Assist with managing project costs to stay within the forecasted budget range.
Confer with supervisory personnel, subcontractors, or engineers to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
Develop a project SOV, update based off production, prepare billing packages, and submit to customer.
Develop project material trackers based off customers BOM, drawings and scope.
Maintain material tracker based off inventories, production, shortages, and damages.
Draft submittals and RFI’s with the collaboration of crews and project manager.
Following training, must have the ability to read and understand project scopes, drawings and contracts.
Execute corrective actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies.

Qualifications:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Must be able to handle various tasks at a time and prioritize work.
Must be able to work in fast paced environment, switch directions as needed, adaptability is important.
High school degree is required.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or business, or trade school certificate, is preferred.
Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s).
