The Orem Development Services Department is currently hiring for a Building Inspector.
This is a full-time, benefited position working under direction of the Chief Building Official.
The Building Inspector is a technical position responsible for conducting a variety of building inspections and enforcing compliance with related codes and regulations adopted by the City.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- 2 years relevant experience as a building inspector, or equivalent experience in the building contractor trades, is preferred.
- Utah Combination Inspector license and/or ICC certifications (commercial and/or residential in building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical).
- Must possess and maintain a valid Utah driver's license.
Pay and Benefits
$29.
04 to $31.
73 hourly ($60,398.
00 to $65,998.
53 Annually).
Individual starting salary may depend on experience, education, and certifications; Utah Combination Inspector license and/or ICC certifications (commercial and/or residential in building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical) may qualify the applicant for a starting wage higher than the grade minimum.
