Employment Opportunity
This is a full-time position working under the direction of the Streets Division Manager or Field Supervisor.
This position is responsible for the completion of a variety of technical and specialized maintenance tasks relating to asphalt work in accordance with applicable construction standards.
Leads a crew of full-time and part-time employees.
Assists in preparation of records and reports and monitors compliance with city, state and URMMA regulations.
Oversees the completion of projects and assignments.
Hires, supervises, trains and evaluates seasonal employees.
Assists in the preparation of probationary and annual performance reviews for full time employees.
Operates a plow and salt spreader during snow and ice control operations.
Is responsible for maintaining an assigned route.
Performs duties that may include physical effort such as bending, stooping, and walking.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to operate a variety of specialized equipment.
Must possess and maintain a valid Utah Class A commercial driver license with both hazmat and tanker endorsements.
Considerable knowledge of the principles, practices, tools, materials, and techniques used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of road infrastructure.
Ability to analyze street maintenance or repair problems, assess possible options, and respond according.
Skill in oral and written communications in order to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
Skill in organizing workers, material and equipment to complete projects.
Skill in the operation of a computer and its various programs.
Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and two years experience in a related field and experience in supervision, planning, equipment operation and maintenance.
Pay and Benefits
$63,357.
55 to $73,448.
76 Annually.
