Project Estimator

* Create estimates for upcoming project bids.
* Understand state and federal standards/specifications.
* Read project plans and create material take-offs quickly and accurately.
* Review awarded bid wins vs.
losses and strategize plan to improve win ratio.
* Maintain continual understanding of the market and material/labor costs and prices.
* Work with the purchasing team to obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Prepare certification documents for materials used in manufacturing.
* Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
* 2 - 5 years proven success in construction, traffic control or infrastructure industries.
* 2 - 5 years of estimating experience.
* Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat.
* Must have strong basic mathematical skills.
* High energy and self-motivated.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42,000.
00 - $55,000.
