Position Announcement
Working under the direction of an office manager, supports through a Media Help Desk, faculty/staff users.
Daily performs campus-wide activities from installations to requests for training and assistance from faculty, staff.
in Media Enhanced Classrooms.
Installs and maintains the set up and preparation of audio visual equipment for campus events.
Responsible for repair and/or replacement of varied audio visual equipment campus wide.
Attends all meetings as needed, and performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
Summary of Responsibilities
Installs wiring, systems, and media infrastructure and maintains audio visual and related media equipment.
Inspects and performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on audio visual equipment.
Supports, troubleshoots and gives general assistance to faculty/staff users through a media help desk.
Prepares and insures accuracy of knowledge base articles.
Attends meetings as required.
Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
This position is a career ladder and will be placed at one of the following levels depending on qualifications:
Level 1: Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent, and work experience totaling 1 year related to the essential functions/duties of the position.
Level II: Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent, and work experience totaling 2 years related to the essential functions/duties of the position.
Level III: Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent, and work experience totaling 3 years related to the essential functions/duties of the position.
Also required to have a current industry recognized certification applicable to the essential functions.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
Knowledge
Knowledge of audio visual equipment and computer software sufficient to instruct others in their usage and installation.
Knowledge of inventory management practices.
Skills
Basic computer knowledge and skills.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including basic telephone and customer support skills.
Abilities
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Ability to operate, maintain, problem solve and perform repairs to audio visual equipment.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
