Building Maintenance Technician

As the maintenance tech you will work under the direction of the maintenance director in general maintenance of the buidling.
Duties: - Perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs to prep rooms for new resident move in.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems - Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency - Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment Skills: - Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks - Experience with facilities maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems - Familiarity or willing to learn computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior residents.
