*Reports To:* Director of Quality *Shift Covered By:* Director of Quality *JOB SUMMARY* The Quality Control Manger will be responsible for the management of the Vegan and Kosher Programs, the Approved Supplier Program, the Environmental Monitoring Program, the Sanitation Program, and the Internal Pest Control Program.
They will also be present for the 3rdParty Audits (SQF, Organic), and will also be the facility expert in SafetyChain and COA creation/distribution.
They are also expected to present KPIs related to their duties and managed programs to the rest of management during meetings.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * COA creation and distribution * They will need to be in communication with the Director of Quality or V.
P.
of Ops to make sure that the information on the COAs is correct and accurately reflects the product referenced.
* They will be responsible for sending COAs to customers within 24 hours after the PO ship date.
* SafetyChain management and compliance * They will be the Secondary contact for SafetyChain support and will participate in meetings with the SafetyChain Customer Representative.
* They will assist in the creation, editing, and implementation of new and current SafetyChain programs and forms/tasks.
* They will be responsible for ensuring that task verifications are being completed by the assigned parties.
* Approved Supplier Program management * They will oversee managing, updating, and ensuring compliance in the Approved Supplier Program.
* Environmental Monitoring Program management * Co-manager of 3rdParty Audits, and secondary SQF Practitioner.
SQF certification a plus.
* Co-Creator and presenter of Quality Control KPIs * Internal Pest Control PCO * Sanitation Manager * Assist with Research and Development of new products as needed.
Assist in the review and updating of master recipe folders and finished product specification folders.
* Keeps work area clean.
*JOB EFFICIENCY MEASURES* * Must report to work on time.
* Must complete analytical tests accurately.
* Must complete all quality assurance tests in a timely manner.
* Must have a basic Knowledge of HACCP/HARPC or SQF.
GFSI, HACCP or PCQI certification is a plus.
* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to work weekends if needed.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS * *Education/Certifications:* * High School Diploma /Some College.
Bachelor’s degree in a science field, preferably food science, is a plus.
* Must have Valid Drivers License * PCQI, HACCP, GFSI Certification a plus.
*Experience:* * Minimum of 2 to 3 years of quality assurance experience * Minimum of 3 years of management experience * Prefer experience in baking/dry mixing (dry blending, wheat, flour and dry mix testing and milling).
*Knowledge and skills:* * Must have the ability to learn and follow instructions.
* Must have leadership abilities and work well with venders, employees, and customers.
* Must have ability to diagnose quality issues in a timely manner.
* Must be able to communicate quality issues with management and production employees.
* Must be self-motivated and work under limited supervision.
* Must be responsible, dependable, and flexible with work schedule (may require weekends if needed).
* Must have the ability to communicate in English (Spanish is a plus).
* Must be able to read and write at a twelfth-grade level.
* Must be able to perform basic algebra.
Statistical analysis is a plus.
* Must be able to pay attention to detail and be quality minded.
* Must be able to use Microsoft word and Excel.
Experience with other ERP systems is a plus.
* Must be able to read, review, update and implement work in process forms, standard operating procedures, sanitation operating procedures, master sanitation schedules, verification, and validation schedules.
* Must be able to read and follow testing procedures.
*Salary Requirements:* * Negotiable based on experience.

You must adhere to and enforce our current Good Manufacturing Practices, policies, and procedures.
It is a requirement that all production staff, managers included, hold a certification in Food Defense, GMP’s, Allergen Control and HACCP, provided to you by Lehi Mills.
In addition to understanding food safety, our production manager must work closely with Quality Control to ensure overall quality and efficiency of products.
