*About the Job:*
We are looking for an experienced TIG welder to fabricate pedestals, housings, cabinets, bollards, electric vehicle charging stands, etc.
out of stainless steel and aluminum.
Experience fabricating stainless steel projects for the restaurant industry would be very beneficial and will be given extra consideration.
*Pay:* The base pay rate is $22.
00/hr to $26.
00/hr PLUS a 10% Shift differential for working the swing shift.
We also have a monthly bonus program for all employees!
*Job Functions & Responsibilities:*
* Perform TIG Welding on stainless steel and aluminum.
* Grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal items using hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of metal finishing techniques.
* Clean equipment as needed prior to changeovers or at the end of the shift.
* Safely set-up and operate department equipment.
* Responsible for the controls to adjust, start or stop equipment during the production processes.
* Check the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, and measuring their dimensions.
* Record product and process data in specific forms.
* Transfer equipment, objects, or parts to specific work areas.
* Use jigs, fixtures, positioners, clamps, etc.
and align and set up work.
* Maintain a high level of quality in fabrication and assembly.
* Perform light/preventative maintenance on department equipment.
* Work under minimal supervision.
* Must have physical ability to handle items 70+ lbs.
* Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and routings.
* Punctual daily attendance is a key requirement for success in this position.
* Other duties as the company sees fit.
*Required Qualifications:*
* 5-10 years of experience in TIG Welding
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and plan in proper sequence.
* Ability to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and work with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
* Ability to communicate well in a team environment.
* Work progressively with little supervision
* Must be authorized to work in the US.
* All candidates must pass a drug screening check prior to employment.
*Schedule:* This listing is for the Swing Shift which is from 3:00pm – 11:00pm M-F
