Job Title: Production Team Lead

JOB SUMMARY
The Production Team Lead leads our team for success across our department of Canning.
Duties include relaying information between the team and Supervisor, guiding the team through daily work activities or projects and monitoring employee performance to ensure maximum productivity.
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who will be able to successfully coach and train employees, while staying focused on results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Supervises production team members in a retail packaging environment.
Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Ensures effective employee relations by providing employee coaching and development and participating in making employment decisions.
Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, maintaining QC paperwork, and providing regular progress reports to supervisor.
Step in and perform the responsibilities of the supervisor during in their absence and maintain the expectations of a supervisor during that time.
Perform all other related duties as assigned or needed
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
An ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
An ability to balance and achieve positive results in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
The possession of quality orientation and attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution.
In addition to, strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity.
