Job Responsibilities
• Design and development of manufacturing processes for consistent quality of products.
• Work with product development engineers to create stable manufacturing processes for new products and ensure design for manufacturability during the new product development process.
• Ensure cost-effective, reliable, production-ready processes are in place and provide yield and throughput data to production operations when product is moved from R&D to production status.
• Create standard work instructions and training materials to define and communicate best manufacturing practices.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain process equipment.
• Understand and use lean principles to eliminate waste and continuously improve processes, such as: standardized work instructions, training development matrix, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, pull processes, TPM, SMED, and cell design.
• Strive to provide value to internal and external customers via process improvements to yield, cycle time, or throughput.
• Perform process audits, root cause analysis, and DOEs or other testing as needed.
