Overview
We currently have an opening for a Construction Superintendent.
This position is primarily responsible for supervising the field construction of a project and to completing the work on schedule, within budget and to the quality of workmanship specified.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project
Ensures that all personnel assigned to their crew comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc
Ability to plan ahead to order and arrange for delivery or pick up of materials that are required to complete the scope of work according to the schedule
Completes daily reports such as units complete, safety reports, EEO meetings and weekly unit cost worksheets
Maintain professional attitude with owners, inspectors, public, and company personnel
Exceptional safety record with strong understanding of OSHA requirements and regulations.
Proven track record of success.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisors
Skills & Experience
5+ years of related experience working on commercial construction earthwork projects
Ability to supervise earthwork/site work construction projects from general plans and instructions given and to determine the proper amounts of various materials, tools, and personal equipment needed
5+ years of Construction/Project Management experience in a civil construction environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & Project) & other computer skills
Able and willing to work long hours including day, night, weekend shifts as needed, and work outside of normal hours
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
