Job purpose
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator responsibility is to make sure our building and grounds are safe and well maintained.
Their duties will include vendor management with third party contractors.
They make proper arrangements to ensure that the correct resources are available to complete the scope of work.
This position is responsible for following all employee safety, food safety, facility audits, and always adhere to GMP requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
General upkeep of the facilities (painting, drywall, window washing, etc.
)
Basic understanding of electrical and skill set to replace components
Maintain facilities plumbing fixtures (toilets, faucets, sinks, drains, and water heaters)
Schedule and track completion of third party contractor repairs or services (clogged drains, roof leaks, snow removal, landscaping, and building upgrades)
Coordinate and maintain working relationships with landlord to ensure both parties needs are met
Coordinate fire sprinkler annual inspection and preform monthly extinguisher checks
Coordinate boiler annual inspection with all involved parties
Coordinate backflow preventor annual inspections
Scheduling trash and waste removal to productions needs
Point of contact for biweekly grease trap pumping
Maintain HVAC units (filter changes, coil cleans, proper operation checks, and repairs)
Schedule preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for garage doors
Coordinate with warehouse to repair or replace dock seals and restraints
Conduct routine coil cleaning on condensing and evaporator coils for cooling systems
Maintain exterior door seals and hydraulic closers
Coordinate annual duct cleaning
Help maintenance department with repairs and new installations
Create a process for receiving improvement requests, approval, and project completion tracking
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a related field
Must be able to read and communicate in English
Must possess knowledge of a specific skill set: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
Able to coordinate repairs around strict production schedules
Project management and completion tracking
Valid driver's license
Experience
Excellent communication skills, and respectful of others
Organized, detail orientated, and a can-do, hands-on work ethic
Proficient computer skills with EXCEL, WORD; CAD a plus
Excellent knowledge of related equipment and repair procedures
Strong knowledge in building maintenance
Self-motivated, results orientated, and excellent personal skills
Ability to perform
Knowledge in utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) a plus
Strong background in HACCP, Safety, GMPs, and regulatory Food Safety Audits
Working conditions
Must be able to work any hours/days, including Holidays and/or weekends
Physical requirements
A non-slip resistant work shoe: steel toe when job requires
Pre-shift stretch and exercises to be performed
Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves as needed
All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection
Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walking around the facility, lifting and carrying equipment parts (up t0 50-LBS unassisted), utilizing fine dexterity, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting to inspect equipment
