A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SEWER SPECIALIST / EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
As our Sewer Specialist / Equipment Operator, you arrive to work each day ready to ensure proper paperwork is filled out so our team can jump right into performing excavation jobs to the highest level of safety, quality, and efficiency.
You use your communication skills to keep the city, team, and clients up to date on projects.
Your understanding of trench safety equipment, including shoring, trench boxes, and work in trenches helps to keep a safe environment as you use skid steers, mini excavators, or a shovel to perform manual excavation.
You also correct bad sewer and water lines by making proper connections using the correct fittings for sewer and water pipe.
You continue to learn the technical skill of sewer repair and lining, including following proper procedures and wearing PPE.
At the end of the day, you make sure everything is cleaned and inventory is stocked.
WORK SCHEDULE
Complete Competent Person Training
At least 1 year of mini-excavator and skid steer experience
Can pass a background check and drug test
Basic reading, writing, and math abilities
Understand pipe laying and bedding
Sewer Liner knowledge is a plus, but not necessarily required.
