FIRST REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS: APRIL 1, 2024 DUTIES: Performs a variety of journey level, technical duties related to performing and effecting power system installation, distribution, transmission, and maintenance.
Performs line maintenance work and new construction, including pole climbing and live line work as per approved safety procedures.
Works under the general supervision of the Line Crew Foreman.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
Successful completion of four (4) year apprenticeship.
Licenses/Certifications: Must have a U.
S.
Department of Labor Certification or its equivalent at the journey line worker level.
Must have a valid Utah Commercial Driver's License.
Shall be pole climbing certified, bucket truck rescue certified, pole top rescue certified, CPR Certified and AED Certified.
Special Requirements: Must be generally available and respond to emergency "call-outs" at any time of day, year-round, regardless of weather conditions.
Must take troubleshooters responsibility several times a year as determined by and assignment scheduled adopted by the Power Department.
Must be able to respond to emergency call-outs within 20 minutes.
SCHEDULE: 40+ hours per week.
M-TH.
Required to participate in the on-call rotation.
Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
