Buyer We are looking for an amazing Buyer to join our team at Pura.
The candidate will be responsible for working with sourcing and supply planning to ensure on-time and efficient ordering of product to support timely delivery that meets our business needs.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates: Reliable understanding of MRP (NetSuite preferred, or equivalent) Experience in Arena, or other similar PLM software Broad knowledge of commodities including electronics, packaging, fragrance raw materials, and other hard goods Sound understanding of all supply chain functions, including demand planning, supply planning, sourcing and procurement, logistics and manufacturing.
Ability to improve and implement processes to foster better supply chain efficiencies.
This is for a full-time position at our Pleasant Grove office.
A Day in the Life of a Buyer Maintain system accuracy, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.
Holds weekly Open Order Report meetings with suppliers to ensure on-going production needs are met and re-prioritization of future production.
Weekly system update to ensure purchase orders are current and dates and quantities reflect actual shipments.
Assist with ensuring 3-way match and purchase order reconciliation.
Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers.
Coordinates necessary product specification revisions and deviations as needed with suppliers.
Identifies cost savings opportunities and assists in achieving yearly cost reduction targets set by Sourcing.
Work closely with production partners on accountabilities and productivity issues Use knowledge and experience of process flow to provide a useful resource to Materials on ERP and business system issues.
Report key metrics as required.
Attend and participate in S&OP meetings as required.
Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position Detail Oriented and excellent organization skills Excel: reports, pivot (macros is a plus) Strong understanding of MRP systems and functions Self- starter & problem solver Excellent written and oral communication skills Analytic, motivated.
Demonstrated attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Leadership skills Supply & Manufacturing experience Excess and obsolete inventory Production control knowledge *All candidates are subject to a background check.
