Blending Operator Job Description

We’re searching for an experienced Blending Operator to support our team and reinforce our reputation as a leader in manufacturing nutraceutical products.
Time: 40 hours/week
Employment Type: Full-time (Non-Exempt)
SHIFT: 6am - 4:30pm Monday – Thursday with occasional Friday’s and Saturdays as needed.
PAY: DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Primary Purpose:
The Blending Operator is responsible and accountable for established machine and shift productivity, quality, and yield requirements.
Process raw materials and blends by weighing, dumping, sifting, screening, and hand scooping while strictly following company SOP’s, and GMP’s, producing a high-quality product and meeting production schedule requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Weigh, issue, handle, blend, document, and process raw material within the Batching and Blending operation.
Perform all Batching and Blending activities and procedures according to company work instructions, SOP’s, and are following cGMP’s.
Match all labels with batch records.
Document blending process information as per SOP.
Load, operate, and unload blending machines.
Perform to established productivity, quality, and yield requirements.
Perform and document operation runs in compliance with batch records, SOP's, and any other required documentation.
Perform computer transactions associated with material used in the batching process.
Operate both electrical and pneumatic control equipment.
Cross train and demonstrate competency in all essential job functions of the Blending department.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skill Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP regulated industry preferred.
Basic computer skills including Windows navigation and data entry.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to read, interpret and execute written instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, combine multiple units of measure, and calculate fractions and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
