We’re searching for an experienced Stick Pack Support person to assist our team and reinforce our reputation as a leader in manufacturing nutraceutical products.
Position Details: Time: 40 hours/week (Monday-Thursday) (Occasional Friday & Saturday may be required, usually at month end – appropriate notice will be given) Employment Type: Full-time/Hourly (Non -Exempt) Hours: 6am - 4:30pm, (5:00am - 5:00pm as needed.
) Primary Purpose: The Stick Pack Support personnel assists the Stick Pack Operator with packaging needs and may be required to operate machinery such as the Checkweigher, X-ray, and tape machine.
The Stick Pack support personnel is also expected to follow established standardized procedures in preparing product for labeling, packing and shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include but are not limited to the following.
Responsible for running and maintaining packaging equipment.
This includes labelers, scales, conveyors, coders, check weigher, x-ray, and other related packaging equipment.
Operate machinery safely and efficiently in relation to material usage documentation, product waste, sealing, coding, and weight control.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
Takes responsibility for reporting any and all safety incidents.
Prepare equipment for next production run.
Maintain line speed/standards.
Complete documentation associated with production run.
Observe operation of equipment and perform necessary adjustments to ensure product specifications are met.
Perform quality checks when necessary and report any discrepancies to the operator.
Inspect packaging, coding, seals, and quantity to verify conformance to specifications and performs necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
Ensure the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Expected to work in other areas as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Food Safety Responsibilities Inspect ingredient bags, containments for damage or tampering before use.
Perform pre-start and post-run line inspections for good housekeeping, document.
Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary and safe work area.
Support Quality Assurance programs to ensure production procedures are in compliance with best practices food safety and quality standards.
Responsible for the cleaning line equipment and using correct concentrations of detergents and sanitizers.
Responsible for collection, documentation of packaging waste, and removal of dry waste and removal from the premises.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skill Qualifications: Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP regulated industry preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Basic computer skills including Windows navigation and data entry.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to read, interpret and execute written instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and combine units of measure.
Ability to calculate fractions and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to interpret and perform work against a variety of English instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to assess equipment and demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge.
Must be authorized to work in the United States Physical Demands Occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs.
Bending, stooping, lifting, reaching.
Standing for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
