We’re searching for an experienced Encap Operator to support our team and reinforce our reputation as a leader in manufacturing nutraceutical products.
Time: 40 hours/week Employment Type: Full-time (Non-Exempt) Start Date: ASAP Primary Purpose: The Encapsulation Machine Operator is responsible for encapsulating Nutraceutical products using an encapsulation machine.
Encapsulation is a moderately technical position within a clean room environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follow all GMPs and SOPs and refers to them daily.
Follows all procedures that apply to the operation and completes documentation entries in an accurate and timely manner.
Keeps production records and logs current.
Verifies all product and components coming in and going out for appearance, lot number, item number, description and correct quantities according to batch records.
Monitors machine operation to detect product defects and/or machine malfunction.
Use SPC charts to monitor quality.
Ensure encapsulated product is kept within required tolerances.
Document weights, batch numbers, lot numbers, and quality checks.
Trouble shoot problems related to product quality and machine performance.
Read job specifications and determines machine adjustments and material requirements.
Accurately complete all paperwork, including log sheets, machine reports, batch records, SPC charts and clean-up logs.
Perform minor machine maintenance such as routine lubrication of cams and bearings.
Perform efficient clean ups within GMP/SOP regulations with quick turn-around time.
Maintain good housekeeping by keeping area clean and sanitary.
Follow correct gowning procedures for each entry into production areas and clean rooms.
Must be flexible and willing to change schedule to meet production needs as well as cross-train with other departments as needed.
PPE equipment will be used appropriately and at appropriate times.
Follow all safety rules regarding the manufacturing area and in production line support.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skill Qualifications: Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP regulated industry preferred.
Basic computer skills including Windows navigation and data entry.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to read, interpret and execute written instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, combine units of measure, and calculate fractions and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
Must be authorized to work in the United States (verified through E-Verify).
