Position Details:
Time: 40 hours/week (Monday-Thursday) (Occasionally Fridays and Saturday may be required, usually at month end – appropriate notice will be given)
Employment Type: Full-time/Hourly (Non -Exempt)
SHIFT: 4:30PM - 3AM
Start Date: ASAP
Primary Purpose:
The Bottling Technician performs machine operation and production duties following established standardized procedures in preparing product for bottling, labeling, packing and shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and prepares filled bottles for packing and shipping.
Set up machine with correct lids, bottles, labels and product.
May operate lift truck or use hand truck to move or convey product from production area to receiving platforms.
Replenishes packaging supplies such as bottles, lids, boxes, shrink wrap or labels.
Operates machinery with ability to make minor adjustments or repairs.
May start, stop, or regulate speed of conveyer.
Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
Records information, in the batch records such as, batch codes lot number including expiration, time, and date packaged.
Responsible for correct count, accurate label placement, batch codes and lids for each bottle.
Must work from technical data to ensure quality production runs.
Enter data into the company’s computer software systems.
Perform computer transactions associated with material used in the batching process.
Complete documentation in accordance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Read and perform job tasks according to SOP’s.
Operate both electrical and pneumatic control equipment.
Cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the bottling department.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skill Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP regulated industry preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Basic computer skills including Windows navigation and data entry.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to read, interpret and execute written instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and combine units of measure.
Ability to calculate fractions and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to interpret and perform work against a variety of English instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
