Operations Maintenance Foreman
Position Summary
Under the general supervision from the Operations Manager, the Operations Maintenance Foreman performs supervisory duties in the implementation and management of the fleet operations as well as acting as a liaison for our customers’ field representatives, Within this role, he/she will be providing direct support to drivers and is critical member of the operations team and responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment as well as the technical direction of the maintenance staff as well as implementing safety and compliance of all policies and procedures to ensure a culture of health and safety.
Responsibilities
Manages the operation and maintenance for Prairie Field Services’ fleet at multi-site facility locations to ensure efficiencies that deliver quality maintenance and repair services
Plans, coordinates, and assigns the repair and maintenance of the company’s fleet
Reviews and verifies repair work orders for accurate information
Maintains status of work in progress and informs Operations Manager of scheduling problems and repair order completions.
Plan and develop long- and short-range goals to ensure a solid approach to optimizing efficiency and productivity while reducing overall operational costs
Develop and implement vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance programs
Ensure shop compliance with all internal and external regulations
Utilize maintenance and tracking software to ensure maximized efficiencies and operating practices for our equipment and utilization
Ensure a solid understanding of operational policies and procedures, information management processes and maintain relationships with third party service provider
Acquire and/or maintain any required certifications
Generates reports and statements relating to shop maintenance
Supervise any/all shop personnel
Identifies repeat repairs and gives special attention to expediting such complaints
Performs inventory counts as directed by management
Provides necessary support, supervision and coaching to the drivers in the field to ensure success.
Communicates relevant field information to appropriate personnel.
Demonstrate leadership techniques that constantly recognize and encourage positive work of employees.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with drivers and customer contacts in the field to promote strong partnerships.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures related to work performed for Prairie Field Services.
Assess risk and adherence to industry and legal rules and regulations
Participate in counseling of drivers and other personnel when safety issues are brought forward; counsel drivers when dispatch identifies issues pertaining to schedule, punctuality, and attitude.
Investigate routes, well and LACT sites regularly and update journey management plan.
Conduct driver audits to ensure compliance.
Respond to incidents and assist in the incident investigation process including collection of data and report preparation.
Report on health and safety awareness issues and statistics as needed.
Promote proactive internal and external communication.
Performs other essential duties as assigned
Requirements
Post high school degree in business or automotive technology preferred
5+ years experience working with diesel engines and heavy equipment
3+ years supervisorial experience preferred
3+ years of oilfield experience.
Knowledge of DOT regulatory compliance and hours of services rules
Experience managing fleet of 30+
Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred
Possess a strong understanding of the operations of the oilfield industry
Possess ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills in high paced setting
Strong computer skillset to include all MS office application and proprietary software systems.
Attention to detail and ability to manage varied tasks at the same time.

Team player and collaborates well with others.
Compensations and Benefits
Compensation is very competitive and commensurate with experience - $30-40 an hour
Sign-on and/or relocation bonus
