Principal Duties
As a Journey Electrician you will:
Provide electrical maintenance services to state facilities.
Repair, clean, adjust, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
Design and submit plans for power distribution, infrequently, as needed.
Requirements
Applicants for this position must be licensed as a Journey Electrician or Master Electrician in the State of Utah with the Department of Commerce Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL).
Residential electrician licenses do not qualify.
The Best Qualified Candidate
The best qualified candidate for this position will have:
3 or more years of experience working independently in the commercial and/or industrial electrical industry.
Additional Preferences
Additional points will be awarded to candidates with experience in:
General facility/building maintenance.
Heating and cooling systems.
Plumbing.
The Agency/Division
The Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is dedicated to providing professional services to assist State entities in meeting their facility needs for the benefit of the public, and is the building manager for all State owned facilities.
