Job Summary: The Weatherization Field Technician ensures the installation of safety and home energy-saving measures, working to reduce the monthly energy costs of clients.
They will weatherize homes by repairing or installing new windows, insulating ductwork, insulating attics, and maintaining heating, ventilating, & air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is between $18.
50 – $24.
50, DOE.

Schedule: Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 6 pm.
Work schedules will be determined by the employee and their Supervisor and/or Department Manager and approved by their Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs double pane windows and insulated fiberglass exterior doors.
Records and documents weatherization work performed.
Performs tests for air sealing efficiency.
Completes weatherstripping of exterior doors.
Installation of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms in all living areas and bedrooms.
Uses power tools to complete tasks.
Insulates attics, crawl spaces, basements, or walls using various types of insulation.
Installs air sealings and insulates the dwelling & attic bypasses.
Completes Inventory tracking.
Installs vapor barriers in crawl spaces.
Installs LED lights, water heater tanks, thermostats, and ventilation fans.
Performs other related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Basic knowledge of weatherization techniques and materials.
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
Understanding of power tool safety
Ability to read a measuring tape
Experience in removal and installation, manual labor, and the use of tools
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Three years of related experience or comparable training
EPA and RNGA certifications (preferred)

The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
